![]() ![]() You want to go for B4-II, of course, which has the same great sound as the original B4, but lots more versatility. ![]() If you fancy having more sounds available while you're playing live, you can use a VST Host programme like Steinberg's V-Stack. If using the same ASIO drivers, there should be no difference in latency when using B4 as a standalone or a VSTi. It only has one stereo in and one stereo out, but the audio quality is superb and the drivers rock solid. It's a PCMCIA, or Cardbus 2, type card that just slots in. ![]() If you want simplicity, go for the Echo Indigo I/O. You just don't need all the extra software they come with and they can bey pigs to uninstall and get rid of it all. They are great audio cards, but the ASIO drivers are not solid enough for pro use and they put so much garbage on your system. I'd AVOID anything that has any connection with Creative. One is the firewire/USB type, and here you want to check out M-Audio's range. Low latency is vital, you need to get down to around 10 milliseconds for comfortable live playing. ![]()
